Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to the First Grade team's first blog post of the 2019/2020 year!
Thank you to all who brought items from our supply list. We appreciate your donations very much.

Parents please help your child learn how to tie their shoes. There are many videos on YouTube and books that can help. Thank you for helping your child learn this vital skill.

Your child may bring a healthy morning snack that they may eat during our morning recess.
Your child also may bring a LEAK PROOF water bottle to keep in the classroom. This means it must be a container that if knocked over it will not spill or leak all over our tables or desks.

Please remember that Fridays are free dress for $1 if you would like to participate in this school fundraiser.

First grade moves quickly and the students learn so much everyday it is very important that unless sick your child is here every day, on time. School begins at 8:25. Late bell is at 8:30. School dismisses at 3:00.

Please, if not done already, sign up for Class Dojo. We are using it as a team between the 3 first grade teachers this year.

If you can, the school would appreciate a once a year donation of $20 for this year's  field trips. Please see your child's teacher or Kelly in the office.

Next week in Language Arts we will continue with Spalding introduction and phonogram practice.
In math we will review numbers 1-10.
