1/21-1/24

Dear Parents and Families,

Wow! We have enjoyed beautiful weather during our recess and P.E times this week!

Parents, PLEASE read and study spelling words every day.

"Reading aloud to young children is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it also builds motivation, curiosity, and memory." Bardige, B. Talk to Me, Baby!(2009), Paul H Brookes Pub Co.

Tuesday, January 21st is the 100th day of school! Your child may dress up like a 100 year old.

Our school store is looking for volunteers. It would be for several hours on the first Friday of each month. Please contact the school counselor Laurie Harper if you are interested.

In Language Arts we will practice pronouns (interrogative and demonstrative), adverbs, and related sentences.  We will also begin our unit on penguins.

Due to next week being a short week and our celebration of the 100th day we will be simplifying our spelling list.
