September 8-11

 Dear Parents and Families,

We have had a busy week in first grade. Please remember the first bell rings at 8:25 and we begin right away. At 8:31 your child is marked tardy.

Please work with your child on their counting skills. Have them count on from a random number starting from 1-20. 

Please send your child with a leak proof water bottle. They may bring a healthy snack for morning recess. 

Next week in Language Arts we will be practicing rhymes, syllable types, rules 5, 6, 18 and 19, declarative sentences, nouns, and action verbs. We will start our spelling test Friday the 18th. 

In Math we will continue with Chapter 1.
