Hello parents and families,

We are coming up on our last week before winter break and the end of the quarter. The children are all very excited for their break. We will not be doing spelling or math next week. We will start again in January. We will be reviewing concepts throughout the week and doing various Christmas activities. 

Rumor has it there has been a Grinch sighting at Valley Academy!!! TOMORROW the students at Valley Academy may wear their Holiday best in honor of his arrival. That means they can dust off those ugly Christmas sweaters, Santa hats, antlers or any red or green cozy winter clothing. You may have heard a rumor that our students will be performing a dance number. We are putting together a fun farewell; have an awesome break "Grinch" music video. Sorry families, It is a closed set tomorrow just for students. You will have to wait until next Friday when we deliver it to you. 

Next week we are having a school store to help students purchase gifts for Christmas. Each student is limited to four gifts and the price range will be from $.50 - 1.00.  Parent volunteers will be helping wrap the gifts.  Mrs. Gates class will go on Wednesday and Mrs. Farnsworth's and Mrs. Brown's class will go on Thursday. If you would like your child to participate please send money for their gifts.   

This week we will have our phonogram test 1-45. Please practice with your children over the weekend. 

Report cards will be going home on Thursday/Friday, please watch for them in your students backpack. 

 

Online students we will need their packets returned by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. We will need to go through all of their things in order to enter their grades before Wednesday. Thank you for your help.
